In 1996, I presented ‘DO judge a book by its cover’ at Crosbhealach an Cheoil, the first conference on Irish traditional music, held at Dublin’s Temple Bar Music Centre. Thirty years later, the organisers invited me to design the 2026 book documenting the conference. Launched at the Willie Clancy Festival, it brings together the original papers and photographs, offering a fascinating insight into the people and ideas that shaped Irish traditional music.
